Yacht Racing
Our club has a programme for members interested in yacht racing and regattas. We regularly take part in inshore races in the Netherlands and Belgium and competed in the legendary Cowes Week on the Isle of Wight and in offshore races such as the Ostend-Ramsgate regatta and the 400-mile Colin Archer Race from the Netherlands to Norway.
We are now developing a team of sailors around BlueOne, our Beneteau First 36.7.
Last year's racing activities started with training sessions in Zeeland, followed by the Ostend-Ramsgate offshore race, DeltaWeekend and Breskens Sailing Weekend. The season ended with the classic Antwerp Race in October.
Competitive yacht racing is not a sailing holiday where you drink wine and anchor in pretty bays. It is strenuous and requires constant concentration from crew. But it is highly rewarding, fun, and a fast-track to learning how to sail!
If you are interested in joining our race crew, check out our race programme (and please don't forget that you will need to get your free racing insurance before coming onboard)!
