Sailing Training

Improve your Sailing Skills

Whether you are new to sailing or have sailed before, we are here to help you learn and improve your skills. You can sign up for our sailing trainings on BlueOne which take place on the weekends indicated below. We offer general training for participants of our Beginners Course and for members who want to become competent crew, improve their sailing skills or train to become skippers. Check out the available dates and contact us using our booking form. See you soon!
For the more adventurous, we organise offshore sailing trips which require sailing experience and good physical condition.
About OUR Trainings
Our trainings take place in Zeeland, Netherlands, starting point Colijnsplaat, about 1 hour 20 minutes from Brussels. Choose to sign up for the full weekend or single days (please indicate your choice in the booking form). You will sail with other CNCE members and one of our experienced skippers who will make sure that you get the opportunity to practice all kinds of sailing techniques such as tacking, gybing, helming and navigation. You will learn about sail trim, spinnaker handling, sea safety and much more. Members who would like to improve their skills to the level of skipper are welcome to join us on our skipper training weekends. Don't hesitate, it will be fun!
How much will it cost?
The Participation Fee for this activity is EUR 60 per sailor per day.
This does not include a shared kitty to cover breakfasts, lunches or dinners prepared on board and diesel used during the training. Please enquire for further details on travel arrangements .

We will put you in touch with the other participants to arrange carpooling, organise food shopping etc. Please notice that sailing arrangements may change due to weather conditions.

Follow-up - Beginners' Course

These follow-up weekends are aimed at those who have participated in the Beginners' Course and would like to gain some more practical sailing experience. Bookings by these participants will therefore be given priority.
About this activity
On these weekends, participants of the Beginners' Course 2018 get to practice their newly acquired skills. Starting point is Zeeland, Netherlands (Colijnsplaat), about a 1 hour 20 minutes' drive from Brussels. Choose to sign up for the full weekend or single days (please indicate your choice in the booking form). You will sail with one of our experienced skippers who will make sure that you can pick up where you left off and learn more!.

Mile Builder Channel Tour

Mile Builder Channel Tour, 19-25 May

Summary
This Channel mile-building tour will include long legs (up to 48h) and requires sailing experience and good physical condition.
About this activity
If you are an experienced sailor and interested in venturing out, join us on a more challenging sailing trip which will take you one step further to experience real offshore sailing. Starting point will be our base in Zeeland, Netherlands (Colijnsplaat). Do not hesitate to contact us for more information on this activity using the booking form below.
How much will it cost?
The Participation Fee for this activity is EUR 350 per sailor.
This does not include a 'kitty' to cover shared costs for breakfasts, lunches or dinners prepared on board and diesel used during the passage. As most of us live in Brussels, we often carpool to  Zeeland and back.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME?
For this sailing training you will need full sailing gear (waterproofs, sailing boots, sailing gloves and layers to keep you warm during the passage). Accommodation is on the yacht; please bring your own bedding, a sleeping bag is ideal (pillows are provided). You also need to bring your own toiletries and towel.
